I would like to address Speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Ahmed Khoro with reference to the news published on March 24, about the changes being made in the primary syllabus of Sindh. He said he would like to remove the names of dictator’s Zia ul Haq, Ayub Khan and Pervaiz Musharraf from the curriculum. I would like to request him not to change the history of our country. They were and will always be a part of our history and the children need to know what happened in the country.

There have always been people who have miswritten history or portrayed the colour of their choice, a hero for one may be a villain for another. The famous mutiny of 1857 in the sub-continent has been given the colour by different writers, for the British it was a ‘Mutiny’ for Indians it was ‘Liberation.’
