LAHORE: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Saturday arrested a LESCO line superintendent allegedly involved in selling LESCO equipments to private housing schemes, said spokesman for FIA on Saturday.

He said the raiding team also recovered stolen material worth millions from his possession. Shakeel Butt had been storing the stolen equipments at a private godown in Sharifpura, Lakhoder. The raiding team recovered steel wire, insulters, 4 core cable, GSL, transformers, earth roads and links etc from his godown.

Meanwhile, Anti Corruption Establishment arrested a patwari, Amjad, who allegedly took Rs50000 from a citizen for granting her a piece of land. Farmaish Ali, resident of Chung, complained to DG ACE that Patwari Amjad Ali from Maraka area was involved awarding his land to a woman after getting bribe. The Circle Officer headquarters after inquiry reported that allegations were true after which patwari was arrested.–Staff Reporter
