KARACHI - Leaders of all political parties have strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park Lahore which claimed over 70 lives and wounded over 300 people.
In their condemnation messages, they expressed their profound grief on the loss of innocent human lives in the blast and vowed to eliminate terrorism from the country with support of Pak armed forces.
Strongly condemning the barbaric terrorism in Lahore, Adviser to Chief Minister Sindh on Information and Archives Maula Bux Chandio said that on the direction of PPP chairman the party workers were engaged in donating blood and other assistance to blast victims. He said no religion of the world permits such insane and cowardly attacks on innocent children, women and other common people.
Adviser on information, terming Lahore blast worst terrorist incident, said it saddened the whole nation and government and people of Sindh shared the pain and grief inflicted on the people of Punjab by merciless terrorists adding that Sindh government had announced to observe official day of mourning on Monday to express solidarity with the victims of Lahore carnage. He stressed the need to launch extensive operation against the banned outfits across the Punjab province and bring the killers of innocent people to the justice.
Pakistan Ulema Council Sindh chapter leadership in its condolence message termed the Lahore blast an attack on the national security and insisted to implement on NAP to fight the menace of extremism. The religious leadership also expressed their heartfelt grief over deaths of innocent people in terrorist blast and prayed for bereaved families and martyrs of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park blast.
MQM’s Senior Deputy Convener Dr Farooq Sattar condemning suicide attack expressed his deep sympathies to the unfortunate victims of the incident. He said that such terrorists who had been taking innocent lives were open enemies of the humanity. The MQM leader ensured the support of MQM and its workers to the victims’ families at the time of grief and sorrow. He also prayed Allah Almighty to confer high eternal rank to the deceased and give courage to the bereaved families. He also prayed early and complete recovery of the injured.
Muttahida Ulema Mahaz leaders, addressing a press conference on Monday, held Indian spy agency RAW responsible for the terrorist attack in Lahore. Allama Mirza Yousuf Hussain, Allama Abdulkhaliq Faridi, Maulana Mohammad Ameen Ansari and others were present during the media briefing. MUM leaders said the attackers were enemy of humanity and it was alarming for the government. They said the loss occurred due to lack of security but these incidents could not weaken nation's resolve. “Whole nation is in shock over the incident while keeping in view the seriousness of the current situation. Pak armed forces should come forward and take charge of all the country’s affair,” they added. They further urged the government to nab the terrorists and give them exemplary punishment. They also prayed for the victims of the Lahore tragedy and good health of wounded people.
Similarly, Awami National Party Sindh chapter leadership, PML-Nawaz Sindh, PML-Q, PTI, Pakistan Sunni Tehreek, MQM-Haqqiqi Chairman Afaq Ahmed, PPP-Shaheed Bhutto, Jammat-e-Islami, JUI all factions, JUP and other parties have strongly condemned the Lahore bombing and demanded immediate and strict action against elements involved in barbaric attack in Lahore Gulshan Iqbal Park.
Meanwhile, PTI leaders and supporters gathered at Allah Wali Chowrangi PECHS and held a vigil in memory of the victims. PTI leaders including Dr Arif Alvi, Firdous Shamim Naqvi and others participated in candle light vigil to express solidarity with victims’ families of Lahore bombing. The participants demanded swift and strict action against the elements responsible for this incident. They further said that vigil had been called to express solidarity with Lahore and to send strong message across the nation and globe against terrorism.
