Work begins for rehabilitation of roads, says Murtaza Wahab

Various roads of Karachi being constructed, repaired at cost of Rs1.5 billion

KARACHI   -   Administrator Karachi, Sindh government Spokesperson Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Monday said that work has been started for rehabilitation of two lane road from Kala Board to Saudabad Chowrangi and construction of adjoining roads.


“RCD ground is also being rehabilitated which will provide significant facility to the citizens. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had promised that PPP would carry out development work in every corner of Karachi without any discrimination. Development works are underway in Karachi in a transparent manner on the directives of PPP chairman. Imran Khan disappointed the nation once again in his speech on Sunday and this was his farewell address,” the administrator said this while addressing a ground-breaking ceremony for rehabilitation of two lane road from Malir Kala Board to Saudabad Chowrang, construction of attached roads and RCD Ground in Malir here.


PPP leader Salman Abdullah Murad, Member Provincial Assembly Yousuf Murtaza Baloch, Project Director Neighborhood Scheme Nazir Memon, Javed Sheikh and others were also present on the occasion. He said that PTI’s intention was to lead Pakistan to disaster, adding that hopefully the Speaker National Assembly will present a no-confidence motion without delay. The administrator Karachi said that the way PPP is working, change will be seen in the coming time. “There is not a single MNA or MPA of PPP in Korangi, yet there is no precedent for what it has done in Korangi. Malir 15 Road and RCD Ground was the demand of the people here. The administrator said that they are constructing this road at the request of Yousuf Baloch. A stadium will be built in Sherpao Colony.


He said that people of Karachi are looking towards PPP. “Bilawal will win from every district of Karachi. According to the vision of PPP, development of the city and service to the citizens is our mission,” Barrister Murtaza Wahab said. He added that Imran Khan praised Bhutto on Sunday, and it seemed that he wanted to join the PPP; people want to know if this was a surprise.


“In future, these people will say that there is no leader like Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Zardari,” he added. The administrator said that development works are being carried out in every district of the city without any discrimination and various roads of Karachi are being constructed and repaired at a cost of Rs1.5 billion. Construction of Jahangir Road, Chakiwara Road, Mohabbat Khan Ji Road and Shahra-e-Noor Jahan will also be completed in the next two months which will facilitate the citizens in their daily life. Under the Karachi Neighborhood Improvement Project, two projects will be completed in a span of six months.
