Mini third world war taking place on KP soil since last several years: Hoti

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa Amir Haider Hoti has said a mini third world war is continuing since the last several years on the soil of Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa adding Pakhtoons have paid a heavy price of it. He said this while addressing a ceremony held here Saturday for distribution of cheques among the affectees of Swat. There was time when some persons had established their monarchy here and they did not abide by the norms of law, morality and constitution, he held. Our mosques, homes, schools and even our funeral processions were not secure, he maintained. When no option was left with us then we announced to launch operation against the terrorists, he added. Eventually the people of Swat emerged victorious, he remarked. "We are now seeing a new, prosperous and peaceful Swat", he held. People of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa would not rest unless the scourge of terrorism was eradicated, he declared. Peace was prevailing here today and officers and jawans of our army embraced martyrdom to bring about this peace, he said. Package worth billion of rupees had been approved for reconstruction process of Swat, he said adding 108 schools would be reconstructed in better way within a year. "I request the prime minister to give good news to people of Swat in connection with their long standing demand for Swat University", he held.
