LAHORE Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said the administration and the security forces will continue to fight terrorism till this cancer is eliminated from the country. Talking to reporters here on Friday, the chief minister decried the terrorist incidents at two different places in the City and said the incidents had once again awakened the people to the fact that the nation could not accomplish its goals without eradicating extremists. According to him, he has been continuously monitoring the situation. He thanked God that a terrorist had been nabbed and hoped it would help reach the bottom of the matter. He also saluted the bravery and valour shown by the police and elite force in countering the terrorists. He said the masses must rest assured the security agencies and the administration would continue to fight this menace until it was totally stemmed out and in that course no sacrifice would be spared. To a question on security lapse and already existing terror threats, the CM said he had asked the inspector general of police to submit a preliminary report on the incident in the light of which, he said, further action would be taken.
