LAHORE -The prevalent energy crisis would soon be overcome as the government has initiated a number of projects in power sector.

Advisor to the Prime Minister, Ch Aslam Gill said this while talking to APP on Monday at the residence of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Deputy Secretary Information Mian Shams.

“Current energy crisis is the outcome of ill-conceived policies of previous dictator-led regime. This crisis could not be overcome overnight but PPP government is striving to improve the situation”, he said.

He said the country has enormous power generation resources from sustainable sources such as wind, solar, biofuel energy etc.

“Wind energy can produce around 350,000 MW, solar 2.9 million MW and geo-thermal 1500 MW of electricity.” Responding to a question, Aslam Gill said, PPP would win in the next general election with thumping majority as it has completed its home work diligently.

About political future of PML-N leadership, he said time would expose where they stand, saying people are fed up with them.
