LAHORE – The National Highways and Motorway Police N-5 Central arrested six culprits involved in snatching of vehicles, carrying illegal firearms and stealing of animals during the last ten days.
The arrested accused included Mohsin, Haider, Imran Shah of Khanewal, Munawar, Mehmood of Rahim Yar Khan and Hameedullah of Mardan. A snatched Mehran car (MN-1826), stolen corolla car (AVS-719), Suzuki car (LRW-738), stolen Yamaha motorcycle (KWF-8100), two stolen goats, stolen tyres of a trailer and illegal weapons were recovered from their possession. On the directions of N-5 Zonal Commander Nisar Saroya, the arrested criminals and recovered items were handed over to the local police for further legal action.
The motorway police also reunited seven children with their parents besides returning lost luggage of two passengers. They helped four-year-old Sufian, nine-year-old Arif of Okara, 18-year-old Fauzia, eight-year-old Salamat Shah, 10-year-old Umar Shah, nine-year-old Suleman and seven-year-old Amir of Pakpattan to reunite with their families.
Similarly, a purse of a lady passenger with 10,000 cash which was left in a bus was retrieved and a sack containing store items were returned to their respective owners by the motorway police.
