QUETTA – Five bodies, including three of Baloch missing persons were found in Quetta and Khuzdar areas on Monday.

According to SP, Sariab Sikandar Tareen, the police patrolling party spotted three gunny bags lying in Ferozabad area in Sariab locality. Upon checking, three bodies found packed in gunny bags were taken to Bolan Medical Complex Hospital for autopsy where bodies were identified as of two brothers Muhammad Khan and Muhammad Nabi residents of Sariab. 

They were identified by their cousin namely Rehman while the third body was of Mehran Khan resident of Brewery Road who was identified by his father. Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) Chairman Nasrullah Baloch said that all three bodies were of missing persons who were kidnapped from the main area of Quetta City near Serena Hotel last month.

He said that the relatives of victims had recorded their statements before the three member bench of the Supreme Court that their relatives were kidnapped while their footage were also shown to the Supreme Court by police during hearing in Islamabad.  ‘About 407 bullet riddled bodies of Baloch missing persons have been found dumped from different parts of Balochistan since July 2010’, Nasrullah Baloch said. Hospital sources said that the victims were severely tortured that resulted in their death. Separately, another body was found in Pakthoonabad area of Quetta.

Police said area people spotted the body and informed the police. The police rushed to the spot and moved the body to the Civil Hospital where the deceased was identified as Habibullah Norzai. However, move behind the killing could not be ascertained. The bodies were handed over to their relatives for burial after legal formalities.

Cases had been registered separately against unknown persons and investigation is underway. In Khuzdar, police recovered a decomposed body from Kanak area of Khuzdar and moved it to Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Sources said that the body was badly disfigured due to which the identity could not be ascertained immediately.

Meanwhile, at least six people, including a woman were killed and two others wounded in separate incidents of violence in different towns. As per details, one person was killed and another wounded when an armed clash erupted between two groups in Zehri Tehsil of Khuzdar over a land dispute.  The deceased was identified as Habibullah Lotani and the injured Azatullah. The dead and injured were moved to a nearby hospital.

In another similar incident, one person Hafiz Jamil Panezai received injuries in an armed attack in Pishin area of Kanozai. He was being shifted to hospital when he succumbed to his injuries.

Police said armed dispute occurred in two groups over mines of chromate.

In Dera Murad Jamali, two people, including a woman were killed in the name of honour.

Accused Abdul Wahab in Gott Sharbat Khan Jattak killed his sister and her alleged paramour before escaping from the scene.

Local administration moved the bodies to hospital for autopsy and later handed over the bodies to heirs.

In another incident, a person identified as Abdul Qadir was shot dead in Basima. The deceased was a school teacher.

However, motive behind the murder could not be ascertained.

A person Muhammad Rafiq was killed in Quetta when unknown armed men sprayed him with bullets that resulted in his death.

The assailants fled from the scene after committing the crime.
