TOBA TEK SINGH - Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith (JAH) Chief Prof Sajid Mir strongly opposed the US-led so-called anti-terrorism campaign in neighbouring Afghanistan and said that the American influence had increased to an alarming extent which was a threat to the sovereignty and integrity of Pakistan.
He was addressing the party workers meeting held at Jamia Masjid Ahle Hadith here the other day. He said that drone attacks were being done by the Nato forces with connivance of Pakistani rulers due to which the country sovereignty was in danger.
He said that by taking part in the so-called anti-terrorism war, Pakistan’s own economic condition and law and order situation had reached its worst level. He said that the JAH had started a movement titled “Jaag Pakistani Jaag” and a public gathering would be arranged in Faisalabad on June 9 in this regard.
Prof Sajid Mir also found it surprising that the speaker gave a ruling to back guilty Gilani.
“The Supreme Court has the right to administer justice,” he added. He said that the speaker’s ruling was not a legal step as Article 63 indicated that a convicted leader stand disqualified.
He said that JAH would support the PML-N in the coming elections.
JAH leaders Maulana Abdul Rashid Hajjazi and Maulana Abdul Aleem Yazdani also spoke on the occasion.
