Land dispute takes 6 lives

KHAIRPUR - At least six persons were killed and seven others injured in a clash between two rival groups of Lashari community over a land dispute near Kotdiji here on Tuesday.
According to details, a clash erupted between two rival groups of Lashari community at village Bago Lashari in the jurisdiction of Kotdiji Police Station. The armed men from both sides opened firing at each other with sophisticated weapons, killing six people and injuring seven others.
The deceased were identified as Loung Lashari, Muhammad Ismail Lashari, Gulab Lashari, Barkat Ali Lashari, Mukhtiar Lashari and Ahsan Shaikh.
The injured were shifted to taluka hospital Kotdiji and civil hospital for treatment where condition of three injured was stated to be in critical.
The bodies were shifted to Taluka Hospital Kotdiji for legal formalities. Police said that the cause of clash was a land dispute.
