Govt taking up tourism seriously

LAHORE - Provincial Minister for Tourism Rana Mashhood has said the government is taking all out measures to provide best recreational facilities to public. Huge funds have been allocated for renovation of historical sites and resorts of the province.
He was addressing a meeting of Board of Directors of Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) on Thursday. MPA Tahia Noon, Vice Chairman Imran Goraya, Toursim Secretary Muhammad Khan Khichi, TDCP Managing Director Ahmar Malik and other members attended the meeting.
The minister said that development of tourism can help in building soft image of country. Development of domestic tourism can lead to development of International tourism, he added.
He further said that technical education being provided by TDCP is very vital as it would create opportunities of employment and economic prosperity. Lahore Tourist Bus Service will be launched from August 14, he announced.
The bus will play from Qaddafi Stadium to Food Street.
