PESHAWAR - Speakers at a consultative workshop on adolescent girls' and young mothers' health issues stressed the need for creating awareness about Maternal and Neonatal Health complications among women.

The workshop titled "Advocating for Improved Maternal and Neonatal Health (MNH) and Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Policy and Practice for Adolescent Girls and Young Mothers (AGYM)" held under the auspices of Rahnuma-Family Planning Association, Pakistan.

Besides others government officials, media persons and representatives of FPAP including vice president of Rahumna Sattar Gul, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Programme Manager for District Mardan Sohail KakaKhel, Nabeel Malik and Amna Qureshi briefed the participants on the SRH and MNH programme. Speaking on the occasion, the participants stressed the need for basic training to healthcare providers in order to convey message and give information about the health issues to both neonatal and young mothers.
