LAHORE (PR): Hundreds of trade union representatives and workers took out a large procession on Thursday from Bakthiar Labour Hall under the aegis of Pakistan Workers Confederation against sky rocketing prices of vegetables, flour, power, petrol and other essential commodities, proposed privatization of national public utilities and non-implementation of labour laws by the Industrial and commercial enterprises. It was participated by the representatives and workers of various trade unions. The procession was led by veteran trade union leader and general secretary of the confederation Khurshid Ahmed.

 The workers were carrying banners in support of their demands and national and red flags. The protestors marched through various roads including Nisbat, McLeod and Abbot Road and, thereafter, held a mass rally at Press Club Shimla Hill.
