PESHAWAR - The sit-in of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its coalition partners continued for sixth consecutive day on Thursday and workers of PTI blocked the NATO supply routes in Kohat, D.I.Khan, Peshawar, Sawabi and Nowshera.
On this occasion Jamaat-e-Islami Provincial Ameer Professor Ibrahim Khan also visited Peshawar Motorway Toll Plaza and expressed solidarity with PTI workers. Addressing on the occasion, he said that PTI and Jamaat-e-Islami will keep up their movement against US drone strikes and will not open NATO supply till stopping of drone attacks.
He said that they would not tolerate the supremacy of USA and India in this region as they are not sincere with Pakistan to have peace in this country. He informed that these drone attacks are opened violation of UN charter but the coward leadership has so far did not tickle the issue seriously. He said that despite having one million army and sophisticated weapons the PML-N leadership could not dare to stop these drones inside its soil.
He said that federal government can neither stop drone attacks nor they can halt NATO supply. He appealed to Air chief marshal to shoot down US drones to protect the lives of its citizens.
District General Secretary Hamdullah Jan, former provincial minister Kashif Azam and PTI General Secretary Zaheer Younis was present on the occasion.
In Kohat, PTI sit-in was attended by MPA Zia ullah Bangash and Deputy General Secretary PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
