PESHAWAR- After Sindh government handed over 35 seminary students to the assistant political agent of Bajaur Agency, at least 20 girls were taken from Karachi to Peshawar via a special flight today.

On November 28, Bajaur Agency assistant political agent Fayaz Sherpao had confirmed that he had submitted an application to the federal government, for getting a C-130 airplane to take the girls back to their hometown, Bajaur Agency, as their parents were constantly questioning him about their arrival.

The girls were recovered from a house in Liaquatabad by the police and soon after subsequent raids at the madrassa and another house in Korangi, the security personnel found 10 more girls, in less than 24 hours. One of the girls, who was from Bahawalpur, was sent home with her parents the next day. Soon the young victim girls were taken into custody by the provincial government and were kept at a shelter home of the Sindh Social Welfare Department.

Earlier, the court had also accepted the bail plea of three suspects, including a woman accused of keeping 36 young girls in her house illegally.
