MUZAFFARGARH
The police claimed to have arrested an Indian national who had reached Pakistan on a visa issued in the name of another person on November 16.
Muzaffargarh DPO Rai Zamirul Haq said that Muhammad Mustaqeem was travelling on a visa issued in the name of Sufiyan Ahmed only for Karachi city. The police have registered a case against him on the charge espionage. He said that an inquiry had been ordered against the immigration staff and the police. Meanwhile, the police produced the accused in a local court which sent to prison on 14 days judicial remand.
On the other hand, Mustaqeem said that he had applied for visa of Muzaffargarh but the visa officer in Delhi issued him the visa of someone else. He claimed that “the police took him into custody when he went to the police for departure to India after 11 days stay here.”
