PM breaks ground for Hazara Motorway today

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will perform ground breaking ceremony of Hazara Motorway project today, an important road link of Pakistan-China Economic Corridor, to usher a new era of economic prosperity.
The 60-km long 4-lane fenced Motorway will cost Rs. 33 billion and will reduce the drive time from Islamabad to Havelian to just 30 minutes. In addition, this road link will also provide road to the Havelian Dry Port project.  The project financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) will be executed immediately and will be completed in three years.
The four-lane Hazara Motorway can be upgraded to six-lane if needed, and the Prime Minister of Pakistan also aims to upgrade all motorways of the country to six lanes.
The project will eventually provide trade corridor to its neighboring countries that will boost trade, tourism, industry and agriculture of the region.
