Two Afghans among three held on murder charges

Islamabad - Islamabad police have arrested three persons, including two Afghan nationals, for their alleged involvement in a blind murder case, a police spokesman said on Friday.
He said that an unidentified body was found from Lake View Park on August 22, 2014 falling in the jurisdiction of Secretariat police station. It was established after medical report that the deceased was strangulated to death and his body was dumped in the area after cutting his throat.
Following this incident, the police spokesman said that IGP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan constituted a special team under the supervision of SP (City) Rizwan Gondal.
The deceased was identified through his finger prints as Fiaz Ali s/o Ahmed, resident of Sialkot, and his family was contacted to hand over the body. The mobile phone number of the deceased was obtained from his family and investigation was started. It came to know that Fiaz Ali received last call near Golra railway station from Mamoor Shah s/o Sharif, resident of Afghanistan. He was apprehended by the police team who revealed that he killed Fiaz Ali along with his other accomplices Ali Khan, resident of Afghanistan, and a cab driver Zahoor Ahmed.
It came to know after investigation that Fiaz Ali had been residing in the area of Mira Badia for five years. Later he shifted to Sialkot when Ali Khan and Mamoor Shah created problems for his family members.
The alleged assassins confessed that they murdered him over an enmity. Police have obtained physical remand of the alleged killers from the concerned court and further investigation is under way. Furthermore, Koral police have booked five persons for presenting fake arms licences. A senior officer at the ministry of interior reported to the police that during verification, the arms licences of Ghazanfar, Imtiaz, Ibrahim,  Zaheer and Safeer were found fake.
The police registered a case under section 420/468/471 and further investigation is under way.
