Tai Chi training session tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: The 4th training session of Tai Chi, a form of Chinese Martial Arts will be held on Wednesday at China Cultural Centre to train the participants and highlight the importance of exercise.

Winner of Silver medals and renowned Chinese Tai Chi Master Kevin is conducting the classes. More than 40 people from different walks of life attending the classes. Tai Chi is an internal Chinese martial art, practised for both its defence training and its health benefits. The term Taiji refers to a philosophy of the forces of yin and yang, related to the moves.  China Cultural Centre Deputy Director Li Shuo said that Tai Chi training classes were arranged to provide an opportunity for learning to the people of Pakistan to learn Chinese famous martial art.

She said that China Cultural Centre in collaboration with CRI arranged this training programme.–APP

PTDC to construct restaurant on Motorway

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation is planning to construct a “Unique restaurant” of traditional foods and drinks on Motorway. An official of PTDC told APP that the project was proposed by the Managing Director of PTDC Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor to facilitate the tourists with traditional foods of the country. He said that Private sector had also been invited to work on joint venture/BOT basis in the field of tourism, for which some investors had approached from abroad and within the country. As soon as the land is made available, construction work will be started.–APP

He added, “We intend to get hoardings installed at prominent places of all important big cities to promote tourism, adding that the hoardings will highlight the beauty of various tourists’ resorts.”
