‘Govt to revive sports glory’

 

LAHORE - Director General Sports Board Punjab Nadeem Sarwar has said that the government is focusing on promoting sports and the Punjab Sports Board is particularly playing pivotal role in reviving the past glory of Pakistan’s sports in the world. He said this while addressing the media on the second day at the 15th Annual Unique Sports Gala 2018 being organized by Unique Group of Institutions at Punjab Sports Complex on Wednesday here. The children of Unique Group of Institutions campuses took part in various sprit races, musical chair, aerobics, Martial Art and others. Nadeem Sarwar said that the games teach students how to be disciplined in the life, how to inculcate patience and leadership. “Games also help in the personality development of students,” he said, adding that Pakistan has a bright sports history and the current government is putting in dedicated efforts to revive the same. Rector Unique Group of Institutions Prof. Amjad Ali Khan said that games leave a lasting impact in the personality of students and Unique always offers varied platforms to students to showcase their talent in multiple disciplines. He said that Unique has been the torch-bearer to provide students opportunities in studies as well as co-curricular activities.
