Complaint centre opens at CM Office

LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Wednesday inaugurated a complaints centre at his office where people will be able to lodge their grievances about health, education, police and DC Office.

Similar centres would be set up in the entire province with the objective of helping people get their grievances redressed at the level of districts, tehsils and villages.

Speaking on the occasion, he said: “I have also initiated an open-door policy in the offices and chit-system has been scrapped. I will personally monitor this centre and it will be made to work as an effective organ to facilitate the needy public”.

He said the media feedback will also be monitored and complaints will be addressed in three days to two weeks.

Answering a question, he said work is being done on the establishment of south Punjab as a separate province. Committees have been set up for the purpose.

The chief minister said Prime Minister Imran Khan would announce a package for South Punjab.

To another question, the chief minister said a lot of work has been done on the draft of new local bodies system. The draft of new system will be approved by provincial cabinet before being   presented in the assembly.  The chief minister said he would give a media briefing about the 100- day performance of the Punjab government.  In response to a question, Usman Buzdar said that dispute resolution committees are being formed to solve public disputes at the grassroots level. Meanwhile, MNA Ramesh Kumar called on the chief minister.
