Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said groundbreaking of Kartarpur Corridor reflects Pakistan's desire for peace in the region.

In an interview with BBC Urdu, he said we took this initiative without any outside pressure as Prime Minister Imran Khan is a strong believer in peace.

Foreign Minister said both Pakistan and India are nuclear powers and any eventuality between them will be suicidal. He said the only way forward is to sit on the dialogue table and resolve issues through talks. 

Shah Mehmood Qureshi urged the Indian leadership to realize that some forces do not want to see Islamabad and New Delhi moving on the path to peace and development. He said nefarious designs of such forces can be foiled by furthering bilateral cooperation.
