ISLAMABAD - Chairman Capital Development Authority Tariq Mahmood Khan has directed the authorities concerned to construct a modern medical collage here at CDA Capital Hospital. During his visit to the CDA Capital Hospital on Tuesday, he directed to take all possible measures within 45 days for the execution of medical collage. The proposals in this regard should be submitted within a period of one month, he added. Chairman was briefed about the functions and development of the hospital. He said the new medical collage equipped with modern technology would facilitate the citizens, as the basic infrastructure for the collage was available in the form of hospital. Earlier, the Chairman announced to allocate some land for the hospital. He said the services of retired and in service employees would be hired. He appreciated the ambulance service of the hospital, as it always performed well in the emergency situations. He advised to the relevant departments to unite the fire services and ambulance service. "To meet any emergency, we will establish a sub station in which staff of fire services, ambulance and medical aid would be present any time," the Chairman told. He also visited to the medical wards of the hospital and observed the facilities being provided to the patients. He ordered to up-grade the laboratory, blood bank, and eye, kidney, orthopaedic and surgery departments. Tariq checked the canteen and asked the administration to provide healthy food and clean atmosphere to patients and their relatives. He warned to pay a surprise visit to the hospital in future to know to what extent his instructions were being implemented. He asked the authorities to display the names of the patients outside every ward to facilitate the visitors. He also asked the relevant directors to provide parking area for ambulances. Earlier, Executive Director of the hospital Doctor Hamid Zaib khan and other high officials welcomed CDA Chairman on his visit and briefed him about the facilities being provided to the patients.
