I wonder what was the big idea behind Zardari-Nawaz meeting other than wasting time and having a dinner in the end. It seems our rulers and opposition are chips off the same block. The government is rudderless with no direction and the so-called opposition is spineless with no sting. There was a time when the popularity graph of Mian Nawaz Sharif was rising. Since his last visit to Saudi Arabia, though, he has lost his voice. Only his comrades are keeping his, otherwise badly tarnished, image alive. If our leaders of national level are playing in the hands of foreign powers, what is left for the Pakistani people other than hunger, thirst, deprivation, insecurity and helplessness. -TABASSUM TIRMIZI, Gujrat, October 28.
