ISLAMABAD Stylish pacer, Sohail Tenvir said that he would secure his berth in the one day and test quad after showing notable performances in domestic cricket and Twenty-20 fixtures against New Zealand. During an exclusive chat with The Nation, he claimed that he was completely fit for the T20 series against the Kiwis that is being held in Dubai next month. I am toiling hard to maintain my fitness level which I was lacking a bit during the last T20 World Cup in England he viewed. I am also featuring in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, a prominent domestic cricket showpiece, and performing well to get a place for test and ODI matches. I am also concentrating on my batting to contribute well with the bat for Pakistan, the lanky left-arm pacer further said. Responding to a question, Sohail said that he worked on his weak areas to improve the level of game as well as his fitness level. I have gained the required international standard fitness level for the game which I have shown during the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy match against Lahore by hitting and grabbing four wickets, Sohail said, who played 2 test, 31 ODI, and 13 T20 matches for Pakistan. Sohail Tenvir, who was declared the best bowler in the median edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket championship, said that he would follow the instructions of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for IPL. Pakistan is my only priority and IPL and other competitions are not options, he revealed. It is pertinent to mention here that Sohail Tenvir led his team Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) to a 97 runs victory against Lahore Shalimar through a remarkable all-round performance which included an excellent ton (116) and snared four wickets in the 4-day Quaid-e-Azam Trophy match at the Lahore City Cricket Association Ground.
