LAHORE Faisalabad edged out PHF Academy 2-1 and Karachi beat Quetta 4-1 in the National Junior Hockey League on Thursday. Faisalabad crawled to win against fighting PHF Academy team 2-1. Faisalabad came from behind in the final session to score two goals after the Academy players took early lead through penalty corner. However, Mohsin Sabir of Faisalabad produced two back to back goals in three minutes to get win for his team. In the second match of the day, Karachi downed Quetta 4-1. They scored three goals in the first half and added another in the second session while the third session remained goal-less. The losing team came up with just one goal in the first half. Lahore overwhelmed Peshawar by seven goals. Lahore took lead in the first session and added three more goals in the second session and converted another two in the third phase of the match. Later in the third match, Faisalabad beat Karachi 4-1. They went two goals ahead in the first half and added another two in the second session while conceded one.
