LAHORE The Pakistan Football Federation has asked all the coaches and other occupants of the technical area to follow discipline in while performing duties in the Pakistan Premier Football League. The directive was issued after a scuffle between PFF match Commissioner Rizwan Ali and PIAs coach Shamim Khan during a match on Monday. The quarrel of PIAs coach Muhammad Shamim Khan with Lahore-based Match Commissioner Mian Rizwan Ali was unnecessary at MTFA Ground. The number of persons permitted to occupy the technical area is defined by the competition rules and the occupants of the technical area are identified before the beginning of the match in accordance with the competition rules, said PFF president Faisal Sale Hayat. A person witness to the scuffle said Mian Rizwan behaved rudely with the coach and yet is to be seen whether the PFF takes any action against its blue-eyed official. While the size and position of technical areas may differ between stadiums, the following notes are issued for general guidance: the technical area extends one meter on either side of the designated area and extends forward up to a distance of 1 meter from the touch line. And it is recommended that markings are used to define this area, added Faisal, also AFC Disciplinary Committee Chairman.
