KARACHI - Four people, including a worker of MQM were gunned down in separate incidents of violence here on Monday.

A worker of MQM was gunned down by armed men in Orangi Town. The victim was identified as Asif, 30. The body was first taken to Qatar Hospital in Orangi Town which was later shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy. Police officials said the victim was associated with the MQM Unit-130, Orangi Town.

Separately, a youth was found dead from Pir Buksh Goth. The victim has yet to be identified. Police officials said some unidentified persons after kidnapping, tortured him to death and later dumped his gunny-packed body. The body was moved to Edhi morgue for identification. Further investigation was underway.

A welfare organisation’s volunteer namely Nazeer Hussain, 45, was gunned down at his office at Ehsanabad locality. SHO Shoaib Khan said the victim was running an NGO Saraiki Health Association. He was sitting at his office when an armed man reached his office and shot him. Police said the assassin had relations with the victim because both of them were negotiating on the some issue before the incident. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy and later handed over to heirs. Further investigation was underway.

Bin Qasim Police found a dead body at Hundred Bed Hospital. Police rushed to the spot after being informed by the management of the hospital. The management informed the police that a rickshaw driver brought a body at the hospital and fled. Police rushed the body to morgue for identification after autopsy at JPMC.
