LAHORE - 31st Meeting of Board of Directors of Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) held on Tuesday to review and approve certain agendas. LWMC Chairman Khawaja Ahmad Hassan presided over the meeting. Members Khalid Majeed (MD LWMC), Majid Zahoor (MPA), Dr. Nasir Javaid (CEO Urban Unit), Ms. Afshan Imtiaz (Additional Secretary Finance), Ahsan Chughtai (Financial Advisor) and others also attended the meeting.  
Besides approving minutes of 30th meeting, Board approved 10 Days honorarium for LWMC staff previously announced by Chairman at Eid-ul-Azha successful operation on behalf of Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif. Board also approved auditor’s report on audited accounts for financial year 2013-14, procurement of machinery for landfill i.e. two trash compactors, outsourcing of the operations of landfill and procurement of vehicles for operational work.
Chairman emphasised the need of expediting prequalification work on Hospital Waste Management and ongoing construction of Sanitary Landfill Site at Lakhodair. Naseem Akbar, external auditor and Rashid Rahman Mir Internal auditor presented their reports before BoD for review and approval. General Manager Procurement Col. (Rtd) Tahir Maqbool and General Manager Human Resource & Admin Shahid Farooq gave presentation on agendas relevant to their departments.
