Karachi- Nilofar, the ‘severe’ cyclone is moving towards coastal areas of Sindh with full intensity and is likely to hit the coastal belt tomorrow, officials said today. According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the cyclone is terrible and is expected to move with a speed of 12 kilometers per hour during the next 12 hours.

According to our sources, the cyclone will cause widespread rain/thundershowers coupled with gusty winds in Karachi and Badin. Nilofar is located 875 kilometers in southwest of Karachi and 740 kilometers south of Balochistan’s Gwadar coast.

Sindh government has put authorities on ‘high alert’, banning deep sea fishing, beach picnics and imposing state of emergency in hospitals. Also, people living in coastal villages were evacuated to safer places.
