Recently I was driving on the road when I heard wailing sirens of an ambulance coming through from the backside. Like responsible citizens many drivers kept their vehicles on the left lane to let the ambulance overtake. After moving my vehicle on the left, I saw in the back view mirror a dinky little ambulance at a distance of about 100 meters making a desperate effort to pass by other vehicles. As the ambulance came nearer I was astounded by the fact that it was an imported 660cc vehicle also known as JDM, converted to an ambulance. We are all well aware of the fact that the vehicle chosen for emergency duties should be a strong powerful one, so that the patient may swiftly be moved to the hospital. I request higher authorities to develop minimum fitness criteria for a vehicle to be called ambulances.
