LAHORE-Pakistan Boxing Council (PBC), under its president Ifraz Khan, is holding the National Challenge Belt bout in super bantamweight category on November 5 in Gawadar.

PBC secretary Rasheed Baloch Friday said that national champion M Waqas from Quetta had challenged Nadir Baloch for the prestigious belt in 56kgs super bantamweight category.

Nadir is Pakistan’s recognised international boxer having turned professional after participating in 2014 Commonwealth Games, 2014 Asian Games and winning bronze medal in South Asian Games held in Dhaka.

Besides title bout, a number of under card fights will also be conducted.  PBC legal advisor Sardar Haleemi is bearing all the expenses of the fight including the prize money. “The winner of the belt will be given Rs 20,000 while the losing boxer will also be given some cash award,” he added.

Rasheed said that PBC’s Baluchistan vice president Hameed Baloch had been making all the arrangements along with Durra Khan in Gawadar for the main title bout and under card fights. Former Baluchistan Chief Minister Abdul Malak Baloch would be the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony, he added.
