Easypaisa introduces money transfer to any mobile number

 

ISLAMABAD (PR): In yet another instance of innovating mobile financial services landscape, Pakistan’s first and largest branchless banking service, Easypaisa has introduced money transfer from Easypaisa account to any mobile number.

Formerly, Easypaisa account holders could transfer money to any CNIC, bank account and Easypaisa Account across the country. With this new service launched, they now are enabled to send money to any verified mobile number anytime, anywhere in the most secure and convenient way. This will further increase financial access, as the receiver can instantly open an Easypaisa Account and receive the money.

“In pursuit of our financial inclusion goals, we are aiming to make Pakistan’s favorite branchless banking service, Easypaisa comprehensively accessible to everyone,” said Muhammad Yahya Khan, Head of Easypaisa, commenting on the new development. “Transferring and receiving money straight from their mobile phone enables the masses to enjoy free and effortless financial transactions,” he added.

 

Meeting on Expo Astana

KARACHI (PR): Jam Kamal, Minister of State, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Resources, has chaired a meeting on Expo Astana – 2017 at TDAP Headquarters Karachi. The meeting was attended by Rabiya Javeri Agha, Secretary TDAP, along with other senior officers of TDAP.

TDAP, in collaboration with Heritage Foundation of Pakistan, Consultants MESA (Mukhtar Enterprises Studio for Architecture) and Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners is setting up the Astana Pavilion Village (APV) at Makli Goth, World Heritage Makli in December 2016 and January 2017.

 

JS Group hosts event

 in Dubai

DUBAI (PR): JS Group and People Organization has hosted an event in honor of John Groarke, Mission Director USAID Pakistan, at the Capital Club situated in Dubai International Financial center in Dubai. Groarke delivered a speech focusing on ‘Diaspora Engagement for Impact Investment in Pakistan’. He mentioned that USAID considers building partnerships with the diaspora community as integral to its partnership efforts for advancing development in Pakistan in a more effective, efficient, and sustainable manner.

Groarke thanked JS GROUP for organising event. The diaspora community here also appreciated efforts taken by JS GROUP in bringing USAID and Pakistani diaspora at one platform.

Ali Raza Siddiqui, Vice Chairman JS Group, highlighted the significance of diaspora engagement for impact investment in Pakistan. Siddiqui is also currently serving as director of Bank Islami Pakistan Limited, PIBT and Mahvash & Jahangir Siddiqui Foundation.

Meezan Bank’s annual report

KARACHI (PR): Meezan Bank’s Annual Report 2015, based on the theme ‘Infinite Possibilities’, has been awarded the prize of being the 2nd Best Corporate Report in Pakistan’s banking sector by the joint committee of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP).

Shabbir Hamza Khandwala, CFO and Group Head Finance-Meezan Bank, received the award on behalf of the bank at a ceremony held recently in Karachi.

Launched in the year 2000, the ‘Best Corporate Report Awards’ are the most prestigious awards in Pakistan for recognizing and encouraging corporations to follow international best practices in preparing their annual reports. They are held jointly by ICAP and ICMAP every year to recognize organizations for the quality and depth of their corporate reporting systems.
