LAHORE - A lawyer has moved the court to seek justice over the killing of his son allegedly at the hand of police.
Advocate Masood Akhtar lost his young son Ehtesham Masood, after he was kidnapped from outside Session Court gate on May 21, last year allegedly by the police officials then appointed at Nawab Town, Naseerabad and Manga Mandi. The complainant accused the policemen of torturing his son and causing his death.
Akhtar grieved that the FIR of the case stands registered with the police station Islampura but the police officials are hesistant to arrest their colleagues. Moreover, they are not presenting the challan of the case before the trial court despite court directives, he added.
The lawyer, in his application, has also pleaded the CCPO to direct the police officers concerned to complete challan of the case and the present the same before the court so the demand of justice could be met.
