SIALKOT -  A married woman Rahila is fighting for her life at civil hospital as acid was forcedly poured into her throat allegedly by her in-laws in village Waahley-Daska.

Victim Rahila’s brother Waqas Ahmed told the Daska police that his sister Rahila was married to Mubashar about a year ago. Mubashar went Saudi Arabia just two months after his marriage for work, when her in-laws started torturing her brutally over a domestic dispute. Later, he added, they shunted her out and forced her to go her parents’ home. She gave birth to a son Saim.

The victim’s brother Waqas further said that a few days ago, Rahila’s in-laws took her back to their house after “patch up”. But in laws including Sana Ullah, her father-in-law, Zeeshan, brother-in-law, Aysha and Saba, sisters-in-law tortured her physically and later poured acid into her throat.

Her condition became very critical. After listening to her hue and cry, the local people shifted her to Daska Civil Hospital in critical condition. The doctors said that she was in very dangerous condition. The doctors said that she was fighting for life.

Meanwhile, on the report of victim Rahila’s brother Waqas Ahmed, the Daska Saddar police have registered a case (No. 546/2017) Under Section 336-B against the accused. Police have started investigation with no arrest, in this regard. Police officials said that the accused family had fled away after locking the home.
