ATTOCK - A man killed his wife, shot and injured his minor daughter before shooting himself to death in Formalli village in limits of Hazro Police Station on Saturday.

According to Sub Inspector Mohammad Nawaz, 32-year-old Hazir Khan, who was said to be a psychopath, shot his wife named Fatima Bibi and four months old daughter Khateba Bibi with a 30-bore pistol. He later committed suicide by killing himself with the same weapon.

Locals after hearing gunshots informed the police, which collected evidence from the crime scene and shifted the bodies and the injured to the tehsil headquarters hospital for autopsy and treatment. Later, the injured toddler was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Rawalpindi due to her critical condition.

In a separate incident, a six-year-old girl was burnt alive when a dried crop caught fire accidentally in village Jalalia in same police limits. Police and rescue sources said that Mohammad Faqeer, a local peasant, had stored his dried corn crop in the courtyard of his house when it caught the fire, as a result, his six-year-old daughter Madeeha Bibi was burnt alive and she died instantly.

Later, the Rescue 1122 team was called which extinguished the fire. The body was handed over to the family for burial after autopsy at the THQ hospital.
