SIALKOT -  Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Khawaja Asif has said that Pakistan will continue its role in the elimination of terrorism so as to establish peace across the globe.

Addressing the party workers at PML-N House Sialkot, he said that the world must appreciate Pakistan’s sacrifices in terror war. Pakistan was rendering sacrifices to weed out terrorism and the nation stands united against terrorism.

He added that Pakistan being a good neighbour always wanted to establish durable peace and pleasant relations with its neighbours. Also the neighbour must response positively to Pakistani offers of peace, he stressed.

“Pakistan played its leading pivotal role against terrorism besides sacrificing a lot to weed out terrorism and establish of durable peace globally,” he added. He sought continuity of world’s positive, prompt and effective cooperation for the elimination of terrorism. He said that it was the demand of the time that the world continue its effective cooperation with Pakistan for the purpose.

He said that some political elements, already rejected by the people, were trying to create an artificial political unrest in the country. He said that such elements were not sincere to the nation. He added that such political elements were the “Cancer of the Society”.

Kh Asif said that armed forces of Pakistan have successfully played the frontline role in elimination of terrorism. He added that the defence of Pakistan was in very strong hands. He said that the whole nation stands united against terrorism and was ready to sacrifice even their lives to defend every inch of the Motherland.

Talking to the Sialkot based exporters during his visit to Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), he said that the government was fully aware of the perturbing problems being faced by the business community and making efforts for their solution.

The foreign minister said that government’s positive and effective policies were bearing fruit and the country was moving towards the goal of political and economic stability. He highly hailed the pivotal role of the Sialkot exporters in strengthening the national economy by earning the foreign exchange.

He said that the government was successfully removing the hurdles from the smooth way of strengthening the national economy. He said that the government would encourage the export sector of the country at every level by ensuring provision of trade and export related incentives.

He greeted the newly elected office-bearers of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Sialkot’s export tycoon Riazud Din Sheikh, SCCI President Zahid Latif Malik, SVP Abdul Waheed, Vice President Abid Ahmed Khawaja,  Air Sial Chairman Fazal Jillani, Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) Chairman Khawar Anwar Khawaja and Mayor Tauheed Akhtar were also present.
