ISLAMABAD - Islamabad finished day two at 27-0 against Peshawar in their second innings in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2017-18 round six pool A match here at Diamond Ground on Saturday.

Earlier, Peshawar resumed their first innings at the overnight score of 140-0 and were all out for 454, thus took a massive 289-run first innings lead. Opener Israrullah hammered 212 and Ashfaq 135. Hamza Nadeem bagged 3-100 while Babar Rehman and Shahzad Azam Rana took 2 wickets each.

In another pool A match at Abbottabad Stadium, Lahore Region were all out for 372 against Faisalabad in their first innings, taking a solid 188-run first innings lead. Earlier, Lahore resumed their first innings at the overnight score of 88-2 with Saad Nasim slamming 121 and Bilawal Iqbal 55. Naseem claimed 4-98, Atif 3-81 and Asad 2-99.

In pool B match at KRL Stadium, KRL finished day two at 73-7 in their second innings, thus had 85-run lead with 3 wickets still in hand. Mir Hamza took 3-10 and Shaheen Gul 2-32. Earlier, UBL resumed their first innings at overnight score of 65-0 and were bowled out for 185, thus conceded 12-run first innings’ lead. Ammad Alam made 56. Nawaz and Sadaf Hussain captured 4 wickets each.

At Mirpur Stadium, Lahore Region Whites made 126-6 in their second innings against Rawalpindi, thus had 211-run lead. Nazar Hussain grabbed 5-48. Earlier, Rawalpindi resumed their first innings at overnight score of 65-0 and were bundled out for 162, thus conceded 85-run first innings lead. Naved Malik made 54. Waqas Ahmed clinched 7-79 and Umaid 2-38.
