KARACHI - Hamdard Village School, while celebrating 27th Ramadan as Thanksgiving Day and Independence Day celebrated a function comprising of hoisting of national flag, recitation of the Holy Quran, Na'at, National Songs, Tableau and Speeches. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest Air Marshal Riazuddin Shiekh told that if the spirit and determination of Hakim Said to do some work for the reconstruction of the country were created among all of us; the nation would be able to achieve great success and progress. The noble Hakim Said had rendered great services to the country but he had not been given  the status he deserved, he added. After completing the qualification, the students of this school would face no difficulty in obtaining jobs. He further elaborated that he was tremendously pleased to come to know that Hamdard Village School was showing great performance in sports as it was three times champion of 'Inter-School Football championship Tournament' at Karachi. Welcoming the guests, the Principal Imtiaz Ali Brohi expressed that their school not only had earned awards in sports but also in debates and arts competition. He further has informed that that it is the tradition of the school, set by Noble Hakim Said, to celebrate Ramadan as thanksgiving and Independence Day every year. He told the that not only the education was free in the village school, but uniforms, bags, shoes, books and other stationery items were provided by the Hamdard Foundation Pakistan. Earlier, Shiekh visited the buildings of Hamdard Village School, inspected its classes, library, labs and vocational training workshop.
