KARACHI - Youm-e-Inhidam-e-Jannatul Baqee, (the Day of Demolition of Cemetery of Baqee), on Monday was observed in the metropolis with religious fervour and enthusiasm. Scholars form different school of thoughts including Allama Abbas Kumaili, JUP leader Qazi Ahmed Noorani, Maulana Hussain Masoodi, Khoaja Amin Nizami, Allama Ali Karar Naqvi, Khoaja Adnan Nizami and others demanded of the Saudi King Abdullah to reconstruct the holy shrines of the progeny of holy prophet (PBUH) including Hazrat Fatima Zehra (RA), Umhat-ul-Momineen (RA) and Sahaba-e-Karam(RA) in Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Mualla at holy city of Madina. They also demanded of the government to pile pressure on Saudi government on diplomatic level for the reconstruction of holy shrines demolished at the hands of Saudi Government. The conference was organised by Jaffaria Alliance Pakistan (JAP) entitled Jannat-ul-Baqi and Tahafuz-e-Mazarat Conference at Khurasan road. Speakers said emblems and graves of progeny of holy Prophet (PBUH) are a sign of integrity of religion, while their protection, defence, renovation and construction is acme of religion and Shariah. They said that reconstruction and renovation of dignity of Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Mualla is prerequisite for liberation of Al-Quds Ash-Sharif and independence of Kashmir and Palestine, without which dreams about the end of sufferings being faced by the Islamic World could not become true. In his address, JAP President Allama Abbas kumaili said that holy places are the assets of the whole Islamic Ummah and every honorable nation defends their assets. He said that the destruction of Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Mualla 79 years back is a tragic chapter of the Islamic history and a black scar on the Muslim Ummah. JUP leader Qazi Ahmed Noorani said their struggle would continue till the renovation of holy shrines at Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Mualla. He asked the Saudi King Abdullah to play his role to reconstruct the holy cemetery and shrines of Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Mualla.
