KARACHI Three people were gunned down in separate incidents of target killing in different part of metropolis on Tuesday. According to details, a contractor was gunned down near Lal Qilla Grammar School North Karachi in the limits of Sir Syed police station. DSP Altaf Hussain said the deceased 40-year-old M Rafiq son of Fazalur Rehman was going to drop children in school. When they reached Lal Qilla grammar School an armed man on motorcycle ambushed him and open firing on him and fled away. Rafiq sustained injuries and succumbed to his wounds after a few moments. Police shifted his body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for legal formalities, Hussain added. The officer further said the victim was the resident of Rasheedabad Sector 4-A North Karachi and used to work in a construction company as a contractor, adding that victim hailed from Haripur Hazara and father of three children. The DSP said the victims brother Shafiq received his body from hospital and told police that the victim had some dispute with his uncle and might be involved in the murder of his brother. However, no case was registered till filing of the report and the victims relative said the he would register case after the burial process of Rafiq. In another incident, police found a bullet-riddled body near Korangi 100 Quarter in precincts of Zaman Town police station. SHO Atif Shah said the police found a body near bushes in Korangi 100 Quarter Sector 51-K who later identified as 29-year-old Muhammad Tahir son of Allah Wasaya was the resident of the same area, adding that victim was missing on the Monday night when he told his family that he was going to meet someone and after that he had no contact with his family till early morning Tuesday local informed to police that one body was lying near bushes and after receiving the information police rushed to spot and shifted the body to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for postmortem. The officer said the victim received four bullet-riddled body. A ladies scarf was also present in his head. The SHO said the victim hailed from Multan and used to work in local factory as a labor, adding that victim family quoted that we had no enmity with some one and police believed that might be the victim had affair some one. However no case was registered till filing the report. Separately, a labourer died due to electrocution in Tobacco Company in the limits of SITE (A) Police limits. According to the police officials the victim identified as 19-year-old Dildar son of Ahsan was the resident of Orangi Town, while he was working in factory situated at SITE area suddenly he received electric shocked and died on the spot. Factory workers shifted into Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) where the victim heirs took his body without completing any legal formalities.
