Officials asked to quit Pracs

LAHORE - The Railways Ministry has ordered officials working in PRACS even after the expiry of their contract tenures to quit without delay. Those not obeying these orders will have their jobs terminated on Wednesday night. According to sources, Executive Director Commercial Chaudhry Nazeer Ahmed, Executive Director Security Nasrullah Durrani and Executive Director Media Khalid Mehmud have already submitted their resignations to the relevant authorities. Those whose contract terms have expired are Executive Director Electrical Irfan Gauhar, Consultant Solar Energy Saeed Khan, Director Security Nazir Ahmed Qureshi and Consultant Training Maqsood Ahmed. PRACS Managing Director Mahmoodur Rashid says no contract would be renewed. According to sources, there are about six officials who are still holding their positions despite the fact that the Board of Governors did not extend their terms. They are Executive Director Finance and Accounts Badshah Gul, Executive Director Mechanical Aslam Anwar, Legal Adviser Salman Asif Waraich, Director Finance and Accounts Ziaul Islam, Executive Director Administration Major (Retd) Ashfaq Chaudhry and Deputy Director Passenger Muhammad Sharif Majid.
