KARACHI Fahad Academy Keamari qualified for the semi finals of the Habib Bank-KCCA Inter-School Cricket Tournament after beating Kamran Public School by four wickets in the first quarter final at KCCA Stadium here the other day. Batting first, Kamran Public scored 134 runs in 36.3 over. M. Arif 39 and Mohsin Ali 31 were notable batsmen. Ziaul Haq got three for 23 and Muhammad Khan two for 23. In reply, Fahad Academy achieved the target as Ziaul Haq made 77. Zubair Uman 25 lent him good support. Farooq Hasan and Arif Khan took two wickets each for 20 and 30 runs respectively. In the pool match of the competition played at Pak Star ground, Khan School beat Cambridge Korangi by 4 wickets. Cambridge Korangi made 133 runs through Ali Shah 44 and M. Owais 26 runs batting well. Saifullah and Adnan Ahmed took three wickets each for 24 and 28 runs respectively. In reply, Khan School achieved the target for the loss of six wickets in 29 overs. Adnan Ahmed 38 and Muhammad Ali 24 batted well. M. Owais and Shakeel Ahmed took two wickets each for 11 and 33 runs respectively. Thus Khan School also qualified for the quarter-final. The second quarter-final will be played between GBSS Ibrahim Ali Bhai Metroville and City School PAF Chapter.
