LAHORE - Editor-in-Chief TheNation and Chairman Nazria Pakistan Trust Majid Nizami has urged upon the teachers to show the youth the hypocritical face of Hindus, who after separating East Pakistan were still conspiring against the country. He was addressing an Ideological Training Workshop of college teachers at the Aiwan-e-Karkunan Tehrik-e-Pakistan here on Tuesday. NPT Vice-Chairman Dr Rafique Ahmad, Prof Humayun Ehsan and Prof Muzaffar Mirza also addressed on the occasion. Nizami said that the Muslims ruled the Sub-continent for a thousand years, but their merriment by forgetting the real objectives of Islam led to their downfall. Then, Allah Almighty bestowed us with great leaders like Quaid-i-Azam and Allama Muhammad Iqbal who brought us out of slavery, he added. He thanked Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif for issuing directives to colleges asking them to organise ideological workshops. He further said that the students should be taught that they were not Punjabi, Balochi, Pathan or Sindhi either, but Pakistani. Dr Rafique Ahmad expressed the need for incorporating more and more information about the country in the syllabus. He said that it was the duty of the teachers to inform the students about ideology and purpose behind the creation of Pakistan. Prof Humayun said that Pakistan was the centre of international politics and the history revolved around it. He said that it was the duty of the teachers to train the students keeping in mind the Quaids vision. Dr Sarfraz delivered a multimedia lecture about Pakistan movement. Earlier, Prof Muzaffar Mirza informed the teachers about the role and services of the Nazria Pakistan Trust (NPT). The speakers paid tribute to late Ghulam Hyder Wyne, former Chief Minister Punjab, who set up the NPT for the ideological training of the nation.
