Negligent officers faced the music


SHEIKHUPURA - The DCO have removed Assistant Education Officers (AEOs) and Assistant Commissioner Ferozewala from their posts for showing poor performance and indifferent attitude in anti-dengue campaign.
According to details, Sheikhupura Assistant Education Officers (Male) Ahsan Khan and (Female) Shagufta Perveen and Farooqabad AEOs (Male) Alamdar Shah and (Female) Aasia Perveen were removed from their current posts over negligence, poor performance and non-cooperative behaviour during dengue eradication campaign. Moreover, the officers failed to produce better results in anti-dengue activities in the district.
The DCO also removed AC Dr Lubna Nazir as Sharqpur Tehsil focal person and appointed AC Dr Farwa Aamir.
The DCO also issued show cause notice to EDO Education Ghayas Sabir and transferred Deputy District Officer (DDO) Education Miss Sadia from Sheikhupura to Safdarabad for poor performance during dengue control activities.
DCO Kiran Khurshid pointed out that dengue eradication was possible through elimination of its larva by using spray and other preventive measures. She warned that no negligence would be tolerated in the on-going anti-dengue campaign. She stressed that cleanliness arrangements must be ensured in private and government schools to curb dengue breeding.
TRADER ROBBED OF CAR: Four dacoits snatched a car from a trader here the other day.
According to details, Javed Sadiq Butt, a resident of Gulstan Colony Faisalabad, was on the way to Faisalabad from Sheikhupura. Meanwhile four dacoits intercepted him near Toll Plaza Ferozewattan. The culprits tied him up with ropes, threw in a deserted place and fled away in his car. The police started investigation into the incident.
SECTION 144 IMPOSED: The District Coordination Officer (DCO) has imposed Section 144 in the radios of Examination Centres set up for BEd second annual examinations across the district.
The step has been taken to control unfair means outside examination centres which will continue till October 22.
