Albert Einstein said that ‘More the knowledge, lesser the ego, lesser the knowledge more the ego.’ Today, it seems that we are trapped in the word of ‘ego’. We do not listen to others point of view; we do not tolerate difference in opinion. We go to extremes and handle the sensitive situation in an egoistic way, closing doors for solution and improvement. The same thought process is significant when it comes to national issues. ‘I’ and ‘Me’ is important, ‘You’ and ‘We’ do not exist or matter. The stalemate in handling crisis like situation is the result of such an attitude. Political thinking and handling should be like flowing water flexible to its environment. If national interest is above all, then ‘ego’ should also be for our national integrity and sovereignty, not personal.
