ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain has underscored Pakistan’s desire to build a broad based and long-term relationship with Norway in all fields.

He was talking to Pakistan’s ambassador-designate to Norway Riffat Masood, who called on him at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad on Tuesday.

The President hoped that the ambassador-designate would make all out efforts towards further strengthening the friendly ties between Pakistan and Norway.

He underlined the need to highlight Pakistan’s investment policy to attract Norwegian investment in diverse areas particularly renewable energy, communication and infrastructure.

The President highlighted the need to enhance contacts between parliamentarians of the two countries to further strengthen bilateral relations.

He advised the ambassador-designate to promote a softer image of Pakistan through exchange of cultural troupes and increased people to people contacts.
