We did not learn from 1965 war. Not many know that the valour and sacrifices of our sons of the soil saved Muzaffrabad, Sialkot and Lahore with great difficultly. The top leadership failed in planning and, to cover up, kept nation busy in music and celebrations. So, we never knew our weaknesses, and paid the price in 1971.

Now, we are celebrating the 1965 war as if the 1971 war never happened and there is nothing to learn. So, celebrate as if beating India is no problem. Any one not involved in self praise is not a patriot.

Let us take seriously an old saying: never underestimate your enemy.
