“India’s claim that the attack on the LoC was a surgical strike is false” stated ISPR, reported Waqt News.

The ISPR has also stated that the claim of conducting “surgical strikes” is merely Indian propaganda perpetuated by the Indian media to validate Indian violation of the LoC.

Pakistan Air Forces has also responded to the Indian claim of surgical strikes, “we are ready to give a befitting response to India if they try creating problems at the border.”

Pakistan Defense Minister Khawaja Asif also reacted to Indian aggression on LoC, “Pakistan strongly condemns the attack on LoC. Last night Indian Army attacked at LoC and got a befitting response from Pakistani soldiers on the border. Our two soldiers have been killed and nine are injured in the attack but it is still unclear how much damage has been caused to Indian Army. India should not think we will spare them if they attack us.”

In an interview, Director General ISPR Lt General Asim Salim Bajwa described the Indian claim of surgical strike as totally baseless. He said Pakistan is keeping a close watch on Indian movements and if they committed a mistake, Pak army would respond with full force as Pakistan is prepared to repel any aggression.  He said the Indians fired with small arms and mortar and two soldiers embraced martyrdom at different places by Indian firing.

COAS of Pakistan Army Raheel Sharif has called Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to discuss the escalating tensions on LoC.

The Indian Ministry of external affairs and ministry of defence addressed a joint press conference today, amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan after Uri attack in which 18 Indian soldiers were killed.

Addressing the conference, Indian Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) Lt Gen Ranbir Singh said the Indian Army conducted surgical strikes on terror launchpads along LoC, resulting in significant casualties, claims Hindustan Times.

Indian army Lt Gen Singh said the army does not plan to continue with the strikes but the armed forces are ready for any contingency.

PM Narendra Modi has called for an all parties conference to be held at 4:00 PM today, while PM Nawaz Sharif will convene a cabinet meeting tomorrow, as tweeted by the PML-N twitter page.

In light of recent events it can be presumed that both Prime Minister’s would supposedly discuss the escalating situation in Kashmir with their respective parties.

It has also been reported that the Deputy Commissioner of Neelum Valley Sardar Abdul Waheed Khan has prohibited vehicles near the LoC. Public gathering and unnecessary wandering in the area has been banned and primary schools in the area have been temporarily closed.
